i've got a tunze stream in my tank as well as 2 7200's. i think its going to be easier for you to incorporate the streams into the rock structure.

My 30 gallon Oceanic cube...in desperate need of some coraline scraping and a quick pass with the mag float.

It is gonna be plumbed through the floor to the basement sump and connect to my 150g and my growout system. I have a tank built into my billiards room wall but i'm not down there enough to enjoy it so second floor cube here we come.
The tank was built locally 5/8 inch acyrlic. I was going to do a retro fit lighting kit and build a canopy to match but was concerned about the wieght of the ceramic. My wife said "what would be neat is if you hung lights from real thin wire from the ceiling" don't need to mention that twice if she only new it was gonna be $2000 for a pair of the maranier? 36inch long using (2) DE and T5's in each. I might rig up 3 400w SE since i have the balast until i can get the money for the other.
I recently lost 39 colonies of SPS's due to a chiller malfunction and am just now rebuilding luckily i've gotten frags from my most prized pieces back from fellow reefers.
Well Time to take the sawz all to the floor wish me luck!

I was also going to do a center overflow originally but my tank builder talked me out of it because it would get in the way of putting my large rock in. There would have been enough room between th overflow and rim of the opening if that makes sense. I have a pair of tunze's for flow and the retrun pump will be a seq that will flow 2000gph at 16ft head. The calcium rx and skimmer are both MRC's just ordered a second injector and pump for the mr-3. Top off to the system and water changes are done via a liter meter dose pump.

Here is the stand grout complete; just working on the bullnose all the way around the top now. Hopefully will have water by the end of the week.

speedstar: i really like that ... looks VERY nice! should look killer with the maristars. cant wait to see the pics!
Sugar Magnolia: really nice job on your 30 i cant see an overflowbox. did you have it drilled?

Except for the 30g Oceanic, where can one buy a cube aquarium between 60-90g?????

Every custom place I call is about 1500, not including shipping....which has become amazing now with fuel prices.

Thanks

I just picked up a 24 inch cube (60 gal) from my LFS for $77 (plus $40 for drilling). It is made by Great Lakes.

I paid less than that for my cube; GR michigan isn;t that far if you want a good contact for custom built tanks.

speedstar,

Would your contact consider shipping, but I'm guessing your tank is made of glass and that would cost an arm and a leg to ship over to MD. Hmmm let me know anyways.

I think I will be going with one of the glasscages.com tanks for my next cube. Their prices seem very good and the feedback I have read says that the tanks are really nice.

luceneck;

The tank is acrylic; I prefer it over glass. The greenish hue i cant stand and starfire was to long a wait.
