Here's a pic of my cube, after following a few other cube set-up threads I was led here so I guess I should share a little. I'm thinking about adding some mylar to the sides of the hood to get a little bit more light to the sides of the sps to get even coloration and growth - and maybe some 18" VHOs if I can figure out some way to cram them in the hood without making it really cramped and blocking the halide (it's at 15")

KMU- Here you go man,
http://www.envisionacrylics.com/
James is an awesome guy and his work is beautiful. Honestly he should charge double what he does.
I believe his RC screen name is 'Acrylics' and he has a acrylic DIY thread that he helps everyone out in.

I actually got the idea for the external overflow from Theduckster here on RC. I have seen it before but he nuged me to do it and I am glad I did.
Basically the back panel has the overflow slots cut into it and the overflow box is attatched to the outside back of the tank. It's not a HOB.
It takes up six more inches in the back but leaves the tank open inside. All you can see are the slots at the top of the tank.

I'm trying to make it as simple as possible. It will be 90% sps and the rest rics and blasto's in the low flow/ low light areas.
I will run two 250w DE PFO pendants. Two Seio 820's and hopefully a couple Tunze's with controller. I may have to rid myself of the Seios if I go this route.
A Sequence Dart for return with taped line to Ca reactor and another line to chiller.
All top off water will flow through a kalk reactor via a Liter Meter lll.
Skimmed by a ASM G2 and a little help from my trusty Sea clone for kicks:)

I'm going BB, had a DSB for 3 years and never again. Don't know what fish I want yet but it will be a very low bioload. Maybe a yellow tang for any algae plus a few green chromis. I'm not really a fish guy.
I would like one "Show fish" but everyone I want are known to pick at sps/lps or are prone to ich.

I guess thats it. I made the stand, half of the wood came from James's crate, lol.

I just hope I can make mine as nice as alot of these cubes here. I have some comp now;)

On my 300....all the shelving/decking for the stand came from the crate....the crating is unreal!

true, a little small of a tank for a purple tang - but tangs benefit from not only space, but current; if they have a strong current to swim in ( i think that's a seio in the corner...) they can stay healthy for a while...

I reaquascaped my pillar..give me some feedback on the look of this one, again a small mound will be added to the left where the monti caps are , it will be connected to the main structure. is it better than the first version???

I'd be more concerned with that pesky BTA about to sting the crap outta some nice coral!

Awesome looking tank. I usually don't like the rock wall, but it makes your tank look much larger for some reason...

Dang Moga, that is "mature" for a cube. Did you buy those corals as colonies or did those all grow from frags? Looks GREAT.

Moga....yours was one of the first cubes I saw and made me want one too.
I have the 30g Oceanic with an AquaMedic MH with a 250w/20k XDE bulb. I just started transferring corals from my 10g nano this week.

hey guys one of my concerns with cubes is the small amount of space inside the stand, can you guys start posting pics and a small description of your sumps anf filtration methods?

THX...

I have a 20H, mag9.5, euroreef6-2+(sedra5000), and a clip onfan, under my 2'x2' cube. Its tight, but i will still be able to get my reactor under there when the time comes.

one of the reasons i put a smaller frag cube next to my larger cube was so that i could use a 50g for my sump/refugium.
