Nice clean design. Can you explain the function of the tall tank back? I'm intrigued.

Wait a minute, isn't that an IKEA piece?

Looks good, very versatile, and if it's not IKEA, you should well the design to them!

Hey there RC, Great Thread!

I'm currently building a stand for a 180- that I put a C2C overflow on.

My frame is built- basically per RocketEngineers design, with very few mods.
I'm now trying to decide how I want to finish it.

In looking thru this thread, and the original split-

I came across this really cool design- very simple, virtually no trim, etc.

I've tried to contact him, but I found a thread where he sold this for $100! back in 2012!

I'm attaching one of the photos form his post on this thread in 2008.

If you think about it though, I don't see where the skin would resist 'racking', as so many of the finishing skins do.

Here's mine so far:

If you know him, or have input, etc. please PM, or post.

Thanks,
Todd

Bump,
Anyone know of this stand, have it, etc.?

Please comment on the 'racking' or lack thereof finishing it like this may produce.

Ozark, we did skin it with the tank running. My brother the finish carpenter did the work for me. I'm going to start painting it today. It will be time consuming but I will be able to get it protected.

Thanks

This is one I built from a pic I seen maybe on here! I used all red oak and egg&dart trim with a granite top. Its still not quite finished it needs doors put on but the hard part is done lol
