Show me Your Fancy STANDS!!!

Blue tape shows where the top of the tank will be. The canopy insert isn't done yet, but its the last thing to do for that. Will be ordering material for the hardware cabinet this coming week.

Wow is that the new "ultra" starfire glass doesn't even look like a tank is there. Lol

Feh- you should paint the conduit the same color as the wall. Hopefully you plan to use the conduit to run the wires from the lights. That will be a nice clean look for a set up.

I havent yet because I'm working on the last part of the stand but I have been contemplating doing that. Just not sure the molex plug will fit in the conduit

I think it's pretty fancy :)

That's really nice! Would like to see a better pic of the doors- looks like they're curved? Curious how that was done.

Correct, doors above and below tank follow the curve of the tank, I'm not a millworker but I assume they heat and moisture press the wood into shape, or cut it from very large blocks, but that's probably wrong. :)

I'll snap some better pics tomorrow.

Yes it is!

What do you have in the cabinets? You have lots of storage space!
It will house my 20gallon high sump, HOB protein skimmer, and eventually an ATO system and maybe even a few reactors.

Plus I can house all the chemicals and bucket of salt keeping it out of my laundry room.

And thanks guys for the comments, I'm really happy with the way this turned out, it looks amazing in person, the pics don't do it justice.

To me the entire cabinet and tank are a piece of art, I prefer to make the entire unit visually appeasing instead of having a slapped together stand directing people to the tank. It adds to the appeal of the tank IMO.

Nano reefs are cool!

Besides, what's wrong with "all that for a small tank"?

Could not agree more.
Anything radius is tricky to do and make look correct, nicely done!

I feel it draws attention away from the living art which would be in the tank, but to each their own.

...but to each their own.

I was originally put off by the ratio of tank to cabinet. Now I'm liking the advantage of all that storage so close to the tank.

I WILL NOT show this to my wife! If there were a place to put everything I'd always have to put it away!

I'm thinking I'll need to post some head on pictures tonight. The proportions aren't all that bad TBH :D

The lower cabinet is quite large though, I'm not a fan of having stuff that isn't supposed to be seen, exposed.

Haha, my buddy said the same thing, he will not show his wife either or she'll want it. Though he played the angle that "hey if you let me get a bigger tank again I'll get this built" may or may not work.

I agree to an extent feh as I do consider what is in the tank as art. But I wanted to create a whole picture type setup, hopefully I've accomplished at least that :D

Filling it up this weekend finally :D
