I've had a colony for a while now and it's been through hell with me. I've been learning how to care for Acropora the last couple years and i'm getting better at it. Anyway my favorite Acro is the GBP. My colony is recovering from bleaching. So in the mean time can I see yours?

Thanks

I want pictures, and wish I knew someone locally down south here who had some, cause it's one of my favorite ORAs ever. Too bad they don't sell them any more....

Anyway, let the pics commence!

I've got a 4" colony that's coloring up but it's 2-3 months from looking like it should if it even pulls through, "fingers crossed".

I have a relatively large frag, probably about 3" or so that I've had for over a year and it just hasn't done anything for me...I'm kind of disappointed to be honest. It is an ok looking coral but as of now it's just taking up real estate

I heard ORA lost their GBP colony. Any truth to that? Too bad if they did, cause I'd really love to get my hands on a frag. No local reefers have one. :sad1:

Here is a shot of the top of mine - it is probably 4-5" and is encrusting really well.

Gasman - Is the browning normal on these? I am currently battling a nitrate issue and the top of mine has started to brown a bit. What caused yours to do that, or do they naturally brown sometimes or is it just a nutrient issue?

Its finnicky at best- depends od lighting. IME it easily browns out with param issues but very strong coral.

I've had mine for about 2 years and it hasn't grown much at all. All of my other corals grow pretty well except that one. I like it though so it can stay.

I heard ORA lost their GBP colony.
I spoke to someone there a couple months ago, and they said
this rumor is not true. They had some problems, but still have
this coral.

God bless you! Thanks. I'm still keeping me fingers crossed that mine pulls through. It's light brown and it won'd extend it's polyps.

I'm target feeding with Phyto and Reef Chili every two days. It is showing some green pigment coming back but it's a small amount and most of the coral looks like crap now.

Again thanks for the pics.

Yeah, I believe they lost it during a hurricane.

the big hurricane came before they even offered this coral for sale

they might have had problems with this one but it wasnt due to the hurricane

but what would i know?

Sorry, I was under the impression it was one of their older corals that they offer?
