Keep it simple system:Show and list your Tank and Gear...

-Tank

-Lighting
-Ca Rx(only real exception need CA/ALK to grow em!!! lol)
-Skimmer
-Refugium
-ATO and temp control

Not much more than that.... just the essentials, I have seen some killer systems with guys/gals that just feed their fish and OMG colors and growth.

My system is still new: 4 months now....
-210G DT/40 BRDR Sump/25G Frag tank/20G Fuge(just macro)
-2 Tunze 6100's and 2 Koralia Evo 1400's
-DIY LED lighting with 2 80W T5's
-BM 220A Skimmer
-Calcium Reactor
-Carbon/Phosban reactors
-Tunze ATO

Thats it I never dosed in any of my old tanks and dont plan on starting now lol......

Still a Baby but hoping i get it to look like this some day: My old 36X30X18 same KISS principle

Either way.. I'll play along.

My system I believe is a pretty simple.

A tank, 2 halides, couple of cheap dosers, a skimmer, ato, heaters, some carbon/rowa, a couple power heads, sump is just a 40 breeder, and a bare bones acjr.

Also have a frag tank plumbed into my dt with a single halide power head using the same return pump as my dt.

Seems to work for me, no additives about 50% of my equipment is second hand.

T5's, skimmer/fuge. 10 gallon waterchange a week. Sps are taking off so will be doing Kalk in the top off in the next month. Still deciding what to do with my rock scape on my right side and need to get rid of the zoas on the sandbed

55g using 3 par38 bulbs (4th being replaaced but 3 in the vid)
2 Koralia evolutoin (the ones w/ most flow)
2 Koralia Nano (425g p/hr from 29g tank)
No skimmer
No sump
water change about 2g every 3 days using RSCP
dose kalk via slurry method 3x a day.
scoop crap that collects on the sides every other day and blow out rocks on weekend...
scoop crap again

lol +1. Nice tank none the less. I just think the definition of simple is more than what i was thinking in my head.

I never said mine was simple lol... I want to see your "KISS" lol, I just have tons of room in the basement so i figured why not add a fuge, and what not lol. But I guess I still try to keep it simple meaning, i dont dose anything, or run any other reactors other than Ca, and water polisher(carbon, phosban) ok ok ok still more than some of your systems lol.

Like i said i wanted to see your systems which BTW wow!! very nice guys

I have 2 400watt halides,2 96 watt t5,powerheads, aqua c rx1 calreactor, sump, fuge, apex( not sure it qualifies as K.I.S.S), skimz sm205, chiller, 2 sea swirls.

@ nanighan, how long has that tank been set up? thats the cleanest setup Ive seen in a while!

The 55g has been set up since July of 2011. Most of the frags came from a 29g that uses the same concept since summer of 2010. What I didnt mention was I dont clean the the left most wall and leave a nice patch of algae for the tangs and extra biological filtration. Sort of like a ATS in the tank.
