Sweet stonie! Did it come from LFS, wholesaler, e-tailer or ? What size is it?

If I showed you all of our oddball fish, they'd take over the thread. ;) However, a true stonefish is something we currently don't have, altho we do have Erosa erosa (pitted stonefish) in a temperate setup:

Tagging along to this too. :) love oddball fish. Unique is awesome. Hope to see more reef and community friendly fish other ten the aggressive scorpion and stone fish lol

91Atrac, might want to start a similar thread not in the Fish Only & Aggressive Tanks board for peaceful/reef fish. I have a couple to post in it if you do LOL.

Seeing all of these makes me want a stonefish...

Though not exactly rare, I'd say these are my two most uncommon fish:

I collected this guy in the Atlantic in NY and after he got too big in a year, I donated him to a public aquarium

This is a great thread start. I'm trying to learn more about oddball and unique fish. If I could make 1 little suggestion, it's to put the names down with the pics.

That's funny. The first thing I thought was "that's one grumpy *** fish"

lol despite his frown that was a very happy red sea stone fish(Synanceia nana).Happy because he feasted on anything he could fit in his mouth and at 14 inches he could fit anything in his mouth.
