Show me your onyx!

I saw some CB Onyx clowns the other day, and I hate to say this but, they looked terrible. Their faces looked pushed in, like a bulldog. Is this common for CB Onyx?

Unfortunately, it's common in any variety of CB clowns. This isn't restricted to Onyx.

I may be wrong, but from what I've read, it's a common sign of inbreeding.

*edit* As pointed out, not exclusive to onyx clowns either. One our LFS clowns look this way all the time. Pretty much every designer they get in.

A pic I took this morning:

Those are Rod's Onyx percs.

http://www.rodsfood.com/

Sadly, IIRC, the female disappeared last year.

Rod used to breed them and still does sometimes, but has slowed down on that since his food has taken off.

He posts here on RC under Rod Buehler.

BTW, he's had the S.gigantea anemone in that picture for going on 15 years now...

Also, the mated pair of Onyx Percs I posted earlier are from him.

Nick

My pair is the direct offspring of Rod's pair also. Here is his pair. My female is almost all black, include tail and both dorasal fins. Only orange is the face and Pectoral and ventral fins
