Love gorgonia -- but how do you "anchor" them in your reef. I purchased on online and it arrived with virtually no "base". I tried wedging it between pieces of live rock but it lasted less than a week. Please reply to my email at twerlinich@gmail.com Thanks! -- Tom

Pink stuff

Pink stuff

I think that it called encrusting gorgonian (brianreum asbestinum)

I've got a lot in my tank. Does it look like this?

I've never fed it at all... grows crazy with whatever is in the tank. I've got it growing on my back wall and a lot of the rocks. I'll dig up some pic's.

Sorry if I hijacked the thread :)

ya that looks like it. bought it couple weeks ago was told by owner of shop to watch were it spreads cause it can start to spread pretty quick. idk i like it.

It is nice... just keep it away from other corals. It will grow over them if your not careful. I lost that head of candy cane to it. :(

That must be what i seen at a lfs...there was a tiki god made out of cement that stood about 6" tall. It was completely covered in those polyps! It looked really neat, probably not everyone's cup of tea....but definitely a conversation starter lol.
