Show me your soft coral tanks! Softies Stocking Suggestions

Things have grown considerably now. Some stuff got killed by my neglect and things (like that polyp mentioned above) growing over it or being shadowed/stung. Funny how at first we want growth, then we just want it to stay put!! I'll be moving this into a 120 soon.

Where does everyone buy their soft corals? I use Live Aquaria a lot, and they have a decent selection. Most every other site seems to be focused on SPS and Acans. My LFS never has much of anything for softies.

Have you been on fragswappers to check for meets happening near you. They also have listings of local clubs.Im lucky cause the shop i deal with likes softies and frags some of his own pieces, like my green nepthia which i love.Other then that hte net is about the only suggestion i can give.Good Luck.

Everyone's tank are gorgeous, and Paul B, your tnak is always a winner. Still collecting from around NYC?

Got to get me one of these softie tanks, that's my plan now for my 55. Don't have time for the sps's and such. Softy are just easier, and don't require a lot of light, though I have a Tek 6x54 which is plenty I guess.

Anyway, great pics

Good luck..

If the question was for me.. no retouching. Just uploaded from the camera and maybe light balancing done.

green cabbage is hard to find, i got a small frag from buddy which is only size of dime, and its a slow grower.

I agree on the green cabbage. I had a huge colony of it before Katrina took my tanks and searched for a year or better to get what I have now.

Do you find that it grows better lower in the tank? The reason I ask is I have a frag midway on the rock work and another on the sand. I think that the one on the sand is growing much better.

i have mine down low in tank, i would raise it but it is very small and already attached to decent size rock and if i move it i take a chance of it blowing away in my tank
