The fund bottle you see was kind of a joke with my friends (I have several with reef tanks) and everytime they came over people started leaving tips and change in there so I was like "I SHOULD OF THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE!!!" Since I'm just starting out every little bit helps.

redox,

Except for the tank bare bottom getting gunked up there's no reason I can't keep it looking like this. You should see my display tank, it's almost 2 years old and looks almost the same as the day I installed it, except for all the extra inhabitants now :D

very very nice love the a/c unit above the tank I think that is the best idea i have seen people doing lately.

I think the first compartment would lay down a layer of live rock rubble. with the low light and if you have low flow. would be good for getting things to attach to rock like shrooms leathers xenia and things like that.

Seems like it was very thought out. very nice setup alot better than mine.

Thanks Russ, actually I have about 70#'s of live rock in the lower 50gal tub in the white basket up front. There's little light there. I plan to eventually setup a T5 lighting system on the left side of the frag tank.

you might want to cover your weekend toy, salt corrosion is hell on a good time:cool:

Redox, you just love to rain on everyones parade huh?

The humidity in that room never goes above 35%. Do you ride cruisers or motorcycles of any kind? Do you know how much I spent on chrome man??? Do you think I'd let my toy rust??? Besides, I've had that bike since 99' and look at the condition it's in, it's looks NEW!!! And it's been riden to the keys and back (300 plus mile round trip) several times!!! Yup like everything else including my tanks. I take care of my stuff...

very nice prop setup compulou- tha'ts the prop system from Johnny and Morgan u have done good my friend!

compulou Im not at all trying to insult you just trying to tell you been there done that got the rust to prove it;)

I see your mini-split system on the wall . It too will be affected by salt. I used to have all my tanks(about 600 gallons worth)in the downstair part of my home, just replace the air handler it was only 4 years old. Salt corrosion caused it to develop a leak in the coils. Unfixable so I had to shell out the doe. Just keep a eye on things like hand tools , they will show the rust first. Good luck with your venture;)

 600 GALS

I've got a bit under 200 gals, not to mention I keep the rear garage door and the door into my house open. No humidity, no rust.

Thanks to all for the nice comments.
