New systems

Than and S.B.D. I like your systems, both, many great ideas !

If, I go nuts and do decide to build it will be a hybrid, south facing, glazed from 4' to 6' side wall then sloping to the peak , all double glazed , north and end walls solid, heavily insulated, concrete slab, heated by coils, some air vents at the peak,

inside a work bench on one end and packing station plus fridge and freezer. A section with tanks, and big vats in the middle, 6' wide, 24" sides and ten ft long, made of ply with black pond liners. Bulkheads down to the 18-20" level for outflow, the in water from 6' wide sprinkler bar on the other end. Substrate of arragonite, depth depending on what is in the vats.

Vats all sitting on cinder blocks.

Much finessing in the design but this is basically it.

some of my colonies are out of control so I cleared some cheato and started a frag section in my sump/ref

Now I want to install a frag shelf like this in my 150g Rubbermaid stock tank. I need it sooner than latter because as of late the collection is growing rapidly.

But until that gets built I now have random egg-crate everywhere see link.

hey rhys123,
what kind of growth rates are you seeing and what are your parameters?

Good growth rates I haven't really documented it but it is enough that I have to use the biggest reactor RO make maxed out + dose 450ml of Alk and 350ml of Calc when using sunlight over spring, summer & autumn over winter when I switch to MH I turn the dosing pumps of and everything is stable with just the reactor

Is this what you are looking for

PO4 0.03
No3 0 (or close to it as far as test kits are accurate)
SG 1.028
Calc 420
Alk 9.6
Mag 1350
10% water change weekly

All I measure

There a lot of nice setups here. I have a small humble 24 inch by 24 inch by 10 inch frag flat with a 10 gallon sump lit by 2 24 inch 50/50 reef brite. I have a koralia 2 running for circulation. I will create a thread and upload pictures later this week.

My humble little prop set up has three tiers - two holding/grow out tanks & a sump below.
