600 shipped. PM me. it may already be gone. Seems all the youngsters are showing there faces on the islands. Hence the little bandits and the these guys. Word is dime sized potters are all around as well as other little guys. How cool would it be start a tank with fish this size and watch them mature!!!! Tim

DIME sized Potters?! I want to see some pics! i've always had a soft spot for Potters angels but unfortunately have not been able to keep one alive :(

I would have chimed in earlier but I am still in Hawaii with a story of a lifetime.

I went scuba diving of the shor of Oahu with a local collector and caught my new 3" Bandit angel.

On th same day we caught a 1" bandit.

Story and pictures to come. Stay tuned...

I hate you campbell. If there ever was a time to be visiting Hawaii, this is it. I am heading down in February for a month. If you see any small dragon Morays campbell, scoop it up for me!!!!! Congrats on your catch and again very jealous!!! Regards, Tim

LOL Tim! It is a great time right now. we were actually diving for Hawaiian dragons and bandit angels only. We did not find any dragons, but caught an unreal 30" Yellowmouth Moray. According to the locals, this guy is just as rare as a dragon, but it is poisonous.

I'll be back in mrch and I will be heading to the bottom to find more fishies :)

Seriously Campbell if you come across a small dragon. I will take it. Envious is an understatement. Have a great safe trip. You'll be back in March!!!!!!!! It's freaking the beginning of June!!!! Now I truly despise you!!!! Regards, Tim

Ok now that I'm over drooling over campbells journey. I thought I would show some other hybrids and cool rarities. i know the thread was titled Rare hybrids and fish you own but hey thought everyone would love seeing these pics as I did. Regards, Tim

I just picked up a Centropyge Potteri today from a local LFS. Its just a tad larger than dime size, i'd say nickel!! :D Anyways, its eating well and adapting to life in my little ocean. Colors on this guy are so nice. IMO this is probably one of the prettiest Centropyge species there are. I have him in my Elos 120 with my Centropyge Ebili. I'd post a pic but he/she is not doing much open water swimming yet.

that sailfin is a true zebra

WOW, crazy pipe fish. Any ideas on what the Centroypge x ____ is in the 4th pic from the bottom?

On a side note, any know what happened to Wayne Shang? He was a very well known reefer a couple years back and had some really cool rares but I havent heard about him in years. Im sure Copps can chime in :)

It's actually yellow with a brown tail blue around the eyes and a electric blue around the top dorsil fin. I'm not refering to guys post above this one. But to a guy 2 pages or so before. They actually have one in stock at my LFS. Thay just got it in on Tuesday. The picture on Marinecenter doesn't do it justice at all! Its so much nicer in person specialy the colors.

Well they had this labeled as H. crispa and it obviously isn't. They also have this labeled as a lemonpeel aberration when, IMO, it is very likely a flavissimus x vroliki hybrid.

I highly respect the good Dr.'s and those that work for them, but they are all human and from time to time err. This is not to say that my fish is a hybrid and not a variant, but in their reply to my question asking about this they seem far from certain but made an educated guess given the available criteria to go upon.

My belief that it is a hybrid is based upon the stripe in the eyes and that the fish remains a yellow color throughout except when very stressed or sleeping while it clearly has ties to Z. scopas with the spots and the blue outline of the rear fins. I in no way think this is absolute.

just my $.02

This is the one I'm refering to.

Hmmmmm...i dont think so, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me. I dont see any resembelence. One is all orange and one is yellow and black

If you're reffering to the all orange pygmy its a xanthic color morph of a coral beauty.

Yes, that was what I was referring to. Would have never guessed coral beauty but great looking fish. Any idea where it ended up? Im guessing Japan
