My Black x Scopas:

Many of us have fish that are considered rare to some people. Rare is a very difficult thing to judge because of what people are used to seeing. I have a Black Tang, Crosshatch, Borbonius, Rhinopias, Tinker's, and a Meletremus. I don't think they are rare but just uncommon. If someone posts a personatus, wrought (borderline), kingi, clipperton, xanthic varities, aurora anthias, etc. That is rare in my book. Tim

My Black x Scopas:

I'm uneducated about these things, but how do you know it's a black x scopas and not just a dark scopas tang? I've seen several scopas that are so dark they look almost like black tangs.

generally black x scopas will have the faint blue lines and the longer nose - which it looks like jda has. Most scopas will not be that black and if they are usually dont show the the blue lines. it looks like a hybrid to me.

that meridithi x conspic is sweet!!! is it yours??

Here are some rare ones for you. Tim

Wow, That Chrysurus x Emperor Hybrid is beautiful.

Just a heads up, the last one is Paracentropyge boylei. Collini's are still rare, but not to the Peppermint's level ;)

Wow Myerst!

Dont get too impressed. Those are just photos of rare fish that have been collected and sold (most likely to an overseas buyer for a mortgage-esque price).

Hey MyReef, I wasn't claiming they were mine. Yes it is a boylei, my bad. Here are some more pics of fish THAT are not mine. Regards, Tim

That last picture is a dream fish combo I will someday have when I set up my next temperate tank. Those two fish together, a Wrought and Interruptus are such a great contrast in colors. Regards, Tim
