Here is my gig still kicking away. Almost lost her twice - went into deflating mode. Both times I treated with antibiotics right away. First time with cefoxitin. Second time cefazolin and clindamycin. I just put in a 2 gallon bucket, with air stone for 3-4 hours. Both times, the difference after treatment was amazing. From deflating and sagging to upright and stiff body. I have lost track how many months I have her now, maybe close to a year. I can see eggs in the column. Color has changed from sky blue to a darker purple. Probably was a purple anemone that was bleached out. Here is a picture, I took today. I am not good at adjusting the camera settings, but the anemone is a darker purple than what the picture shows.

My threshold for treating with antibiotics now is very low. They look a bit off, I am treating. Tentacles are elongated now and feeding response is very strong.

I just picked up 6 picassos for my gigantea. I have holding tanks ready if they start getting out of line, but so far they have swam in a ball when I was drip acclimating them and stayed in a group after I put them in the tank.

anyhow, can anyone tell me how you flow your carpet? (gigs). do you get the flow directly at it or deflect the flow to reach it?

I just picked up this purple gig 1.5 weeks ago, and doing great so far... Tentacles getting longer everyday and darkening up daily... I need to get some better pictures...
