... Marie great looking achillies man is he fat. Does he live with any other tangs.

He is king of his domain.
I think he would kill any other tang I put into the tank with him nor is there much room for another tang

that was the first thing that came to my mind on the last pic of the achillies...man that is a fat fish, very nice looking wish i could have one. the orange is just so striking.

My new mimic tang.

My new mimic tang.

very nice---that must be the adult
I recently wanted to purchase one but it had the orange stripes on it--I was told they blended in as an adult

lovely fish however

Sorry, camera phone...:/

sorry no pb...at least I dont thinkso...lol
First is Hippo, 2nd is Vlamingi....who is changing a lot this month, got hippo at 1 inch...he is over 2 now, and Vlamingi is 4 inches, who I got at 2.5 inches.

The Vlamingi is going to break me some day, lol. He follows me everywhere I go, at least in the room:)

Guess I should finish my post...lol

Had both fish for about a month and half, and reason Vlamingi is going to break me is he gets whatever he wants...lol:)

duh sorry--I need my eyes checked:lol:

the tangs are great for that--I am the one that feeds--I stand at the door or walk in they start watching my every move
If anyone else comes in the room they duck for cover.
I think that is amazing that they can tell the difference

Thanks, I heard opposite though according to live aquaria. He will supposedly loose his yellow for the brown.

"When mature, the body color darkens towards tan with red highlights forming around the eyes and pectoral fins. The dorsal, anal, and caudal fins take on the hues of green but remain tipped with the tan body color. " -LA.com

Him and the purple tang only battled for one night, now they swim laps together.

Nice Tangs, Robin. The Vlamingi will soon be begging for that 1k reef. :D

And he will get it! Just don't tell the hubby yet, but...if he can buy this...

I get to play too!
And if I play right...I should be good for a couple years at least:rollface:

Only chargers I've seen around here are police cars....now only if they came with dual 90hp electric engines and a 200hp petrol engine to kick in also on the highway.

Woops got it mixed up with the challenger :(

stocking list?

to much for a 90?
purple tang
Pacific Blue Tang
and one other small tang. not sure yet ( kole or powder brown maybe )

any ideas these are "rated" at 100 gallons but well i think a 90 with some swimming room and buying baby tangs will help out

thanks for understanding on the other thread

the blue tang is a footer in adult---you will definetly have to upgrade around the 6-7 inch size and if stressed for territory it can be an agressor.
How about the purple then one maybe too of
yellow
mimic
tomini
powder blue
or foxface(not a tang but they think they are ;)

The other thing you can do here for ideas is look for a 90gal tank and see what tangs they are keeping
