Show Piece Fish Under $1000?

I have a 93g cube that I will be setting up soon. Since I can't fit many fish in there, I'm thinking of stocking it with flashy, rare, expensive fish.

The tank will have a fine enough sand bed for sifting. It will have lots of rockwork, and it'll have corals - softies and lps for sure, possibly some easier sps. It has a canopy and a screen top. I will for sure have a pair of clowns, and on that, I'm open to suggestion. I do prefer Percs and Osc over the bigger clowns. I'm not sure what other info might be helpful..

Any ideas for fish, say $200-600 mostly but possibly up to $1000 and compatible with my setup?

As funny as it sounds I love my black cap basslet pair. They are gorgeous and you just don't see them kept all that often. The same applies to the fathead anthias, which I think look nicer than borbonius. If it was my tank I'd have a pair of fathead anthias, a pair of black cap basslets, and a pair of multibanded angels. Add a pair of some nice Solomon island percula clowns (not personally a big fan of the really crazy patterns) and a pair of yasha shrimp gobies with a pistol shrimp and you'd have an amazing tank.

Ditto on the candy basslets but I would do a pair. Could also get a very nice pair of clowns ($300 to $600 range). Other then that you could do a wrasse of some sort; flame or the new magna.

It's a little tricky with cubes even as big as 100 gallons. Some nice tangs and angels need horizontal swimming room. You can try a semi-aggressive tank with a mystery wrasse, tigerpyge dwarf angel or interruptus angel but those might go after your corals. also, there are many very nice fairy, flasher and leopard wrasses that would do great

Male flame wrasse
Red Sea regal angel (small one)
Whitetail bristletooth tang

I'd get all 3 if it was my tank. Could probably get all three for under $1000

A nice large gigantea with a pair of percula would do it for me.
Additionally maybe a pair of Marine Bettas and a group of Gramma or Assessor.

Show piece fish means a Angelfish IMO... think of the coolest fish in our hobby, 95% of them are angels.

I'm not a huge wrasse fan. I'd much rather have anthias. Thank you all for the ideas.

I'd love a Red Sea Regal Angel, but I don't want to risk coral loss. Do the ones that do eat stuff tend to go after certain kinds of corals? I had an emperor who didn't touch a thing in his old tank eat all of my zoas overnight. I knew I was taking a chance, but it ****ed me off more than I thought so I'd rather not risk it again...I think..

A supermale lineatus is tough to beat. And it's only about $350 retail from DD. Cheaper if you find from a local reefer or a reputable lfs.
