There's gotta be more of these out there.....

Nice pic Ian! lol...

Actually now that I think of it, I may have a frag of this from T, I thought it was a lokani. Anyway, won't know till it grows out a bit. Or T can chime in and tell me what he gave me.

Probably because my tank has a lot more flow than Alicias. I got my piece from Alicia so I know they are the same. But...I'm not even sure its really a simplex ;)

Just look at the difference between Alicias pic and Terrys pic. Alicia's branches are smooth with rounder coralites where Terry's simplex have more abrupt coralites that protrude from the branches....but its always hard to id corals once they have been in captivity for a few generations.

Strykers coral is awesome! You're a lucky guy Ian ;-)

Here is my Dustin's, which may or may not be A. simplex.

Wow, these are all beautiful specimens here. That Dustin's, wow, I think I have to pick one up next time I make a trip to the LFS.

Whatever that is, it's an awesome looking coral!

Thanks man, it's defnitely one of my favorites. If you're going to be stopping by Terry's you should try and score a piece of the green coral that's to the left of the dustin's, he calls it the green monster. One of the brightest green sps I've seen with a cool growth pattern as well.

old thread but thought I would post a few pic's....

lol You got me all excited when I saw this thread bumped... Then I looked at the date of some of the posters I hadn't seen in a while... Oh well... Still a big fan of the Acro Simplex... On my list of corals that I lost during the move to actually replace... :)

Here is mine !

I found that it is a very sensitive coral and one of the first to be affected by contaminants/water quality problems...
still always managed to save some parts of it...

Bump for more. Dont see too many of these being mentioned. Been looking for a while to purchase but havent come across anything yet.

Thanks for posting. I really like these, but cannot find any in the UK...at least not in the places I've looked at. Shame that it was so much bigger and you lost most of it.

very tricky coral for me... doesn't like too much flow and light...
