Hope it returns to it's former glory, I had a bit of an alk issue that resulted in the loss of over half this coral and its color. It has been making a stellar recovery over the past 9 months but it's still not there yet.

slojmn,
Very nice coral indeed! Great shot of it in its prime. What camera was used to take the picture?

Thanks Jay :)

andygb54303, I let go of a few frags when it was at its prime...now it is just growing and getting back to that wonderful color...not quite there though. Seems to be a fairly slow grower for me.

Ed, Thanks, It was great having you over and I am glad to hear the frags are livin large in your glass box :D.

Mark, I am work and can't see your picture :(...darn school filter system always blocks out certain website hosting pictures. I'll have to wait until I get home tonight to gaze at whatever lies behind that red x, lol.

Thanks Goodwood :). Not sure about Dustin's Deepwater, I have that as a frag so still kind of small to tell what it si and I am no good at ID so it wouldn't matter what I thought anyways, lol.

nightowl, I shot that with my Nikon D70 and a macro lens. At the time I was running DE 14K Phoenix bulbs and pics through the front glass came out very nice. Now I run an SE 20K Radium with T5's and my camera has a much harder time adjusting the white balance for the increased blue light. Ocassionally I get a good shot through the glass but less often than I use to. Plus, I suck at taking pictures and have to take a ton of pics to get a few decent shots.

I wish I had a better pic. You can kind of see it at the bottom center of the pic. The branches were very flat. I got it from Tyree back in the day. The old Tropical Paradise in San Leandro also had a colony but I could never get a frag from Eddie.

Thanks for the info slojmn. I think with the big boy camera you have you can shoot in raw and adjust in photoshop. I am limited in that my camera does not have a raw setting :( . I know what you mean about taking a ton a pictures to get a few decent shots :). But when you finally get them its lovely! I sometimes shoot a few run upstairs to see how they look make some adjustments then try again.

Very nice Alicia..keep me in mind when u frag it again..hopefully I will be able to afford it by then..the two frags you sent me are doing very well btw..

Mark, i could have sworn your simplex was bigger than the picture. Either way nice piece..

I think your and Alicia's tanks are the nicest and cleanest i seen. Make me want to redo mine.

maybe after the holidays..

Ed, You are very kind to say so :).

Desig, I'll keep you in mind ;).

 Yep. It almost died in the tank transfer when it fell under a rock for about a month and I forgot it had happened :(

Did you start to add the sand yet?

I just lined up a frag of this guy at the local swap next Saturday...
