My bad guys ... lol thanks jay. Why aren't my rocks as white as yours thou? I made a bad choice of going whit black sand I can't wait to change it in the future to white sand.

Looking good guys. In time the rocks in Jay's tank will look like all the rest of the rocks in other tanks. I wish I could take some pictures that I could post. I have no idea why but I can't get any of them to come out even half good enough to post. I am using the same camera that I have used for all the pictures in the past. I took about 60 tonight and none of them are worth a darn.

the tops of my rocks are white because of the rose urchin. you can see him top almost center. he strips off all the coraline off my rocks. i think in a larger tank it wouldn't be as noticeable.

nice tank steve

the color varies from rock to rock, Most people like their rock to have more purple than any other color. The more coraline algea "purple" you have on your rock the better your tank looks. But dont go out and start puming chemicals in your tank. that comes with time. Jay started with dry rock wich is also a good way to start, that way you dont introduce any unwanted pesky critters.

Good job your tank is looking good. I dont see bubbles in your skimmer though. is it on?:thumbsup:

The skimmer does look like it is turned off but if it were on it would over flow, look how full the cup is. Looks like it works really well.

It was off as I was about to empty the cup lol got excited and took some pictures to put on my thread, thanks for all comments keep those tips coming too.

I have not shown any pictures of my tank in some time. I have not felt like it was worth showing until now and it still has a long way to go. I have taken a bunch of pics to share it is hard to get an eight foot tank in a pic so many sections and coral shots. Sorry if there are to many. As always the quality is not so good.

This hammer will soon be in Jay's tank

This is a dead brain that is going to be covered in GSP I will probably be bringing it to the Dec. meeting for one of the door prizes. This is really going to be cool, it will be nice and round and sit all alone on the sand nicely if so wanted.
