I bought two Heteractis Malus from DD last Thursday, weather was supposed to be fine Monday/Tuesday at the time. Then we get the biggest snowstorm that our area has seen in over 5 years! I talked with LA yesterday on the phone and was told they would be holding my shipment until the weather got better, I even emailed them before talking on the phone!! I went and checked my email and here's what I see.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused, however we did end up shipping your order on the 16th, and due to the weather it is now being held. We ask that you contact us right away with any losses you may have due to this endeavor. We apologize again for any inconvenience this may cause.

I guess it was miscommunication or I really don't know, it just sucks.

Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery. / Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day.

I was trying to stay optimistic hoping it would be delivered today, maybe I could have gotten lucky with their health.. but with the constant white outs and undriveable roads it doesn't surprise me one bit. I have to say I'm pretty depressed these anemones were sent out.

They finally came in today as anemone soup, bon appétit! I guess being stuck in shipping since Monday will do that....

I'm just hoping it was a mistake they were shipped, the woman I spoke to said they would hold them until the weather got better... that didn't happen. I can't wrap my head around this.

Sorry. Be diligent with them and they should honor your original e-mail on holding and realize it was a mistake to send it out in 20 degree weather.

Sorry to hear they shipped them.The weather got bad and most roads were impassable.Shipping in cold weather isn't bad with a heat pack and are not delayed.I am purchasing a sunburst,but I am holding out for warmer weather.They should honor your request and make it right.Still sucks to loose any animals .

They are goners. When you get them, don't even open the bag or else you will need a lot of air freshener.

Yeah, the next time I make an order on a Thursday during winter, it will be with Saturday shipping.... Too much can change over the weekend. :/
