Siphon the crud in the fuge or no?

I try to siphon out the sludge that builds up on a weekly/biweekly basis in the bottom of the sump. But, do you go after the stuff in the bottom of the fuge (assuming you have a BB fuge)? Or do you leave it to allow for a slight bit of nitrates and phosphates?

if you see any green beans in the sump I would remove them

i try and get as much as possible. i still have plenty of fish poo.

I would suck it up with a very low suctio so u remove the mess not the life floatin in the area

I siphon the fuge. Lots of detritus in there. Thinking about adding a brittle star or a Tiger Cuke.
