Skimmer Explanation Needed...

I am curious if someone could explain to me why a Reeflo 200 is possible insufficient for a 300 gallon setup. I know skimmers can be HUGE, but I don't understand the difference between big skimmers and huge skimmers. Is my reeflo 200 really too small? I hope some of you can help me understand this.

Thanks...Andrew

Just to clarify my question. I am trying to understand the reasoning from folks here at reef central as to why bigger is better when it comes to skimming. Im have not seen information like this in a thread, yet, but will keep looking. If you can help me understand, I would appreciate it.

Did someone imply that it was too small? I should say it would be a good match on a tank that size.

Yes, a few people have suggested that. But from I could find out, it seemed okay. I wanted some others to let me know their thoughts. This is very helpful.

I would definitely agree with crvz. The Reeflo 200 fits a 300gal setup like a glove.

Thank you as well, Tom. Some people had mentioned that the reeflo could never keep up with a 300 gallon system.
