Skimmerless Ecosystem using "Miracle Mud?"

I would not discount MMud that much, I ran a system with and without it and I always had better results with the system with MMud. The Stony Corals just seems happy with good polp extension like there were feeding all the time.

To be honest I think its stuff like Iron and other elements it puts in the water that helps. Also makes good breeding ground for pods it seems.

I think you can have great success with or without. But a good Skimmer is key and will always be need IMO.

Thanks for the helpful POST sditch...

How long does the "miracle nutrients" usually last before they need to be replaced or replenished? did you ever have to "replenish" the mud or replace it? if so how long after you initially put it in?

Thanks.

Miracle Mud Analysis

here is a somewhat objective analysis of miracle mud. there are hints of subjectivity in the writers comments but it you overlook those and look at the objective values...it will be left up to you if you decide to use it or not.

for me, i dont (and wouldnt) use it.

Jeff, i felt a sarcastic tone out of your comment. I never meant to offend you. Please forgive me.

If that were the truth, you would not have had myself and others poke fun at you. No biggie though. Live and let live.

I believe they say you sould replace have the mud every 2 or more years (Not Sure). I have never replaced mine and my newest tank has had if for a year and a half and I have not changed it and do not plan on it for anytime soon.
