SLASH Meets CIMA Frag Swap and Visit to Rick Rottet's Greenhouse!!

OK folks. Those of you that want weekend activities, here is one that you will NOT want to miss.

We are planning a day trip to Rick Rottet's Greenhouse in Illinois on Saturday, September 16th. We will probably leave Saint Louis at 7am and get over there by 11-11:30am.

We can visit Rick's coral farm/greenhouse, ask questions and get answers about his humongous undertaking. From there we will head back towards Saint Louis and stop off the highway about 90 seconds from the highway at hcs3's house and party with Henry and the CIMA Club.

For those of you not familiar with hcs3, he is a big dude named Henry He is one of the original FOUNDERS of Reef Central. He just got a HUGE reeftank going and has offered his home and his special home brew to the SLASH and CIMA Clubs. Barbecue will be provided!

This should be a great opportunity to trade frags with the CIMA folk and do some valuable networking with each other. We think this will be an excellent time, so be there if you can.

From what we've been told it is more like a 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive.

You must have attended the Nanook school of driving!

Either that or the guy who told us must be 100 years old and doesn't exceed 30 mph.!

Figures this would be a great trip to go on! My wife might frown on me going just a little since the 23rd is our anniversary, of course if I go I probably won't have to worry about that anymore! LOL

We've been to Rick's greenhouse. The most amazing part for us was that he built the entire structure and all of the tanks with absolutely no help from anyone. He's a nice guy. You'll enjoy it.
