I just bought a foxface lo and he is only been in the tank for a couple days now and is shedding something slimy. I'm thinking it's just his slime coat, but crossing my fingers. What he does is he shakes violently and then bolts. A slimy substances that appears milky white is left floating behind him when he does this. I don't think it's brook, but not sure. Also little strands appear to be on his dorsal spines as well, but he sheds those off later. Could it be he is just shedding his slime coat from transfer stress. Please, any expertise would be greatly appreciated.
