small generator

Hi, i was wondering if anybody knows of a company that sells realativley inexpensive small generator that has outlets to run a tank if theres a power outage, also that not real noisey,thanks for looking

Unfortunately "not real noisy" and "cheap" will probably not be one and the same unit. I'm also looking into this. The cheap ones are noisy. The quiet ones (Honda is the the example most often used,) are upwards of $1000 new. Craigslist usually has a few from both groups. Checker Auto often has a cheap one in the Sunday ad.

For me for now now, large UPSs and fervent praying that we don't have a power outage longer than 20 minutes or so.

I just bought a APS 900va battery backup. It should run my skimmer and return pump (60 watts total) for 2 hours

I agree with Craig’s list for used 1-2 hundred can score you a good small one. Sams and Costco have med-large for 3-4 hundred. Do battery backup for now as you might not be home when the power goes out. Also for like 20 bucks you can get an air stone and pump that turns on only when the power goes off.

I have one of the little Honda's and they are pretty quite. Not as quite as the Onan in my 5th wheel though
