Small RBTA?

I was at the LFS today and saw a 2 1/2-3 inch small rbta..they also had a smaller GBTA and a larger bleached BTA.. my question is I have a pair of Perculas; Bob (male) is almost and inch, Marley (female) is about 1 1/4".. is it too risky getting the RBTA because of its size? The percs lost their nem which they hosted last month due to temp probe coming out of tank and temp climbing 4 degrees in a few hrs. The problem is since resolved- anchored the probe better. All tank params are ideal (under MH too):
temp: 79 degrees
sg: 1.024
nitrates: 0
nitrites: 0
ammonia: 0
Should I get the RBTA? it's in great shape and i saw that and the GBTA eat... Any advice would be helpful...

I would go for the biggest RBTA possible. I just aquired a very small RBTA that is partly bleached but I plan on it growing and coming back strong.

thx..55semireef. The largest one is like 3 1/2"..but bleached. I know the general rule is double the size of the clowns.. anyone else wanna chime in and give me their opinions?

Wait for a larger, healthy anemone. Otherwise you might be 0 for 2 in the anemone department in short order.

Yes. You want an anemone thats at least 3 times bigger in diameter than a clownfish. I would wait like Kevin mentioned above for a more healthy anemone. Good luck.

I agree with above. Wait for a more suitable one. Ya gotta remember, there will always be another one.

Thanks all.. we'll be waiting. that's what we were leaning towards. Going to speak to the guys at the LFS tomorrow and have them get us one the size we want from that breeder. Let it sit there for a few days, have it eat..and if it's not in good shape; get us a new one. Don't want to lose another. Thanx again!! So helpful.
