Smallest Anemone?

What species of anemone, that is available to reefkeepers, is the smallest? I currently have a condy and love it, but when it's happy the spread of it's tentacles is too large and it has killed a few of my corals. Any suggestions?

Mini Maxi anemones stay fairly small and are often pretty but they are not hosting anemones if that is what you are looking for

I keep these rock anemones. They get to about 1/4".
But you have to collect them in NY yourself. :hmm2:

If you wanna get technical, there are dozens of anemones under an inch in size. I have carpets, sand anemones, majanos, tulip anemones, and a couple without names, all under an inch wide. But nothing like that will happily host a clownfish FYI.

@Paul B - nice nems! I bet they don't like standard reefs temps though, am I right? If they do, I might have to go hunting for some of them someday. :)

Mini maxi is the best if you are looking for an "anemone" that won't sting corals. If you are looking for a clown anemone, pretty much any of them CAN get large - and a heckuva lot larger than a large condy. The smallest clown anemone would probably be H. malu, since it has stubby tentacles and prefers to live in the sand. But even H. malu can get large if you feed it enough.

When fully open my condy is about 8" in diameter with tentacles that are another 12" long. It can take up a heck of a lot of space.
