Hi all its been a long time since i posted on reefcentral glade to be back.
I was thinking about getting back into clownfish. I wanted to try and breed/keep snowflake clownfish in my 120 cube. can anyone tell me what they have experienced with them? are they hard to pair up? and are they ocelaris or percula? also where would be the bets place to get a few from? do the host in S. gigantea as i would like to keep them in one.......Thanks everyone and cant wait to get started :) :) :) :)

they are ocellaris, just as easy as any other ocellaris. its hit or miss if they will host your giga. given enough time they should.

you want to buy them for a retailer or breeder? any ora retailer can order them (just goodle ora corals and see what online stores have some, they can order snowflakes) or there are a few breeders that have some available.

you can buy s'mores (ora calls the black ice semi snowflakes) from hyperboy or rrcg50 breeds regular and semi snowflake's or crooks has some i belive but there not quite old enough yet

Check out Doni's Reef too, she has a number of the new colors, mostly in percs though, nice website too.

well thank you very much for all the information. i dont think i will be adding them to my tank anytime soon as they are over $500 per fish. if i can get them cheaper then i will go for it but not at that price. someone will start mass producing them some were over seas and the price will drop. it looks like snowflakes are the new version of discuss....I love discus by the way.

I would look at Doni snowcasso. Not the same but I think they look better. DD is usually overpriced with their fish.
