False percs (ocellaris) and true percs have been known to pair, I am not sure if all will with each other but there are many accounts of them pairing and spawning.

"chocolate" as you call them are just juvi blacks. They will darken as they age.

Not true. They not only paired up but have been spawning since last January with some nice looking babies. I am going to get another pair if I cannot find someone who has a female they want to sell. If you want I can let you know when I do, because I only want to keep one to pair mine and my LFS can only get pairs.

So the babies would be sterile right? I thought that they had too much of differances genetically to naturally spawn and be successfull. Guess i was wrong. I did see a pic of a hybrid last night.

Nah, if I recall correctly Occelaris and Percula should be able to have fertile offspring.
