So.Cal. Out of the Ashes 340 build

Great update. Corals are looking great. Your fish list looks good too.

Thanks Mike. Hoping these conditions are the new normal.

Art, tank is looking fantastic. So much growth since I was last there. Are any of the frags you got from me doing well?

Oh man, holy kamole! I was just reading back a couple pages and saw the mag disaster. That was the nicest fish collection I've ever seen with my own eyes and the mag was the nicest and largest nem I've seen as well. I feel your pain Art and happy to see your rebuilding. Hopefully will be able to say the same about mine to some degree soon.

Hey Rik! Come by and check it out for yourself, I have some pretty decent stuff you might want a frag or two of.

I've added these fish, all under 4": Interruptus angel, A. femininus; C. Rosefascia; C. lineatus; C. earlie; Gem Tang; Achilles tang, polyzona tang; chocolate tang; L. carmabi and a copperband butterfly.

too bad you you just added all those starter fish instead of searching out some pricey cool ones. jk. that is one impressive fish addition list. more importantly the tank looks great. keep up the awesome work.

Haha! They are tough fish though, other than the Copperband.

Did you not like the orpheks?
Why the switch?
Not halt with metal halides either?

I got rid of the Orpheks thinking they were the cause of stn I was experiencing. Turns out it was chloramines. The metal halides were great except for the heat.

Art - Corals look stunning!!!

Can't wait to come visit -- I'm bringing a surgical hammer and a pocket full of baggies :)
