So it begins, part two (120G)

yea that's what I thought. If you're OK with it cool. It bothered me because every so often you get a flushing sounds like you just flushed your toilet.... which drove me crazy....I played with it some and finally said screw it and put a feed pump on my skimmer and ran the drain straight down into the sump....

I'm doing my best to make this a quiet tank, so if I start hearing a flushing noise I may end up doing the same. ;)

I have not figured out a way to get the bubbles out of the skimmer keep line. I think the problem is with the horizontal section I have connecting both overflows. Rather than chase this for however long, I decided to remove all of my drain lines and start new but feed the skimmer with a small pump rather than by gravity.

Filling as we speak. 10 hours and the display is about 20% full!

If anyone runs across some good threads on quiet drain lines (not the durso) please post them.

And you shall get.

I noticed I'm only getting 45psi from this hose and tap. When I had it connected to a different faucet in the Gararage I was getting 60 psi or so. I know the higher PSI is more effecient but I don't currently have a way to move the water from that location. So this will have to due for now.

BTW, solareclipse now you need to post some. ;)

Sunlight Supply Maristar. 2x250W HQI and 2x54W T5HO with Sunlight Supply Galaxy Electronic Ballast. I found it used here on RC. :)

High Density Polyethylene (DHDE). I'm planning to run this bare botton and rather than have the glass alone, I'm putting this to help protect rocks from falling. It just happens to float unless weighted down with a pile of rock. :)

I think sand looks much better too, but with the flow I'm planning I feared it would be a constant sand storm. I will get my sand fix with the 30G though. I'm hoping to get the best of both worlds, we will see how that works out.

Still filling...

btw, I'm only running water while I'm home. I don't trust the RO/DI unit in my office floor with the water hose going to it unattended. In any event, my wife is going to kill me with this months water bill. I already tried to brace her saying the first fill up is going to be the worst.
