Solana tank owner thread.

A hanger should be pretty easy to DIY using conduit or something of a similar nature to build your own. Bend It to suite your needs and clamp It to the stand, Maybe a little paint to gussy It up and walla you saved some money!

What I did for mine one weekend. Most of my time was spent painting a few coats of flat black and letting it dry. I am very happy how it looks and especially happy at the cost.

Anyone want to update how drilling their solana went? Anyone go ahead with it? I want to do it but don't want to be the first lol. I know there was that one on another site done but Current told me it can't be done, so I am still being cautious.

Since I am posting on this thread thought I would throw up a few shots of my newly born solana tank.

Bill, All those new frags will look great once they fill in. :)

You need to post a shot or two of your above DT refugium setup.

Loving my Solana so far! Here are some shots from today as well as one that shows my latest DIY project...a "lid" made from screen frame and bird netting just in case my Radiant gets jumpy:

You have a much better picture taker than I, But looks great with two Flame Wrasse In my solana that was one of the first things i did to make a net lid for the tank. you won't regret It as sooner or later they may jump.

Anybody have any suggestions on a replacement for the stock return pump? I have a feeling mine is going to crap out soon :(

A Quiet One Or a Mag may work then you have better brands like Tunze or Ehiem. You may want to try and match the GPH rate pretty close or you may mess up the balance of pump to return ratio, In other words It may pump more water than the overflow can handle. JMHO I'm sure someone has done this B4 and will chime In...
