How do they not look good? Post your parameters. People always say they are good, but from what I have seen, they seldom are that good. It is pretty hard to help with so little information.Originally posted by lastduke
Thanks for answering, my SPS don't have a healthy looking for some reason. I though it was lighting. Even one of my lobo coral is fading on the bottom of tank, all my parameters are in the range with the small fluctuations, LPS will be affected by that? my acan is fine just lobo. what should I look for?
I think Chemipure is a great product, but I will never use Chemipure elite again. The elite uses the worse carbon I have ever used. It takes gallons of RO/DI water to rinse it. There are much cleaner higher quality carbons available.Originally posted by Felix1021
the whole idea about Refugium and skimmers on small tanks
comes with good/bad results (skimmers take out good and bad stuff out of water)
Including nutrients/elements
Normally a 5/10g water change does the job (by replenishing such)
it all depends on what you are wanting to keep (coral wise) sps/lps/softies)
I run chemipure elite and grow cheato
I also keep up with my water changes
live rocks/sand for back up
Everything is running smooth
The whole idea about all in one tanks
is the reason why you want to keep things simple/clean
with no extra additions.
hope this all helps for future decision making/New gadget addition to your tanks
this is just my experience (I'm sharing it with you guys)

From time to time I run my Vortech MP20 in Short/Quick pulse mode on max flow and the waves never spills over the top...at worst it barely touches the top/rim of the tank...so a wave box shouldn't be an issue...unless I'm missing something here...
