Mucho my man, you and I are in the same boat-as neither of us have a digital camera. I will get my fathers camera on Sat and try to shoot some pics of my Solomon zoos.
Is it OK if I post some pictures from zoaid on here? JLMK

I just found out I have ID: Blowpop
Original Namer: imnotsure
Origin: Solomon Isls
They are growing like crazy. I got them from a lady who had a tank and they where almost all dead. I think the trick is I dose Idione. These guys grow from the top of my tank to the bottom. Places with no flow to places with alot of flow. The only coral I have not been able to keep is a Elgance. I got it as one of my first corals. The guy said I could grow it no problem. I had some PCs at the time. Every other coral I have ever had has just taken off.
chris0942. I really need to address some problems but I have to get up early and I will get back tomorrow night with some new info. Thanks for the bump as they need some help in surviving long term in a reef. IMHO

ct_vol was onto something-I switched to 0.10-0.12 mg/l Iodine dosing over the past 5 months and they are keeping very happy.
Good deal... Mine have stayed happy as well... I was surprised to see this thread bumped back up... I haven't been checking this forum much in the past few months... Glad everyone is doing well...
You should come around a little more often! LOL
I also took a break from the reefing community for a spell. How are you and how is the tank and do you think TN has a snow balls chance in you know what tomorrow? JJ
I have some more to contribute to this but not now, as I have a 7 year old that is getting ready for bed.
I can say I did have a messed up Seachem test kit and I have been at 0.08 mg/l and not the higher level. I rechecked it with the reagent.
Do you have any updated pics of your tank? I posted a few new of mine. I would love to see yours!
Is your club having a frag swap this year?
Good luck and glad to see your face back here again.

Things are going good out here... Busy to say the least... We're planning on having a swap here in Knoxville this coming spring... You coming to the MTRC swap next week??? I need to get some pics of some zoas taken... There have been a bunch asking for some updated shots... I've taken to the Aussie Acan craze, so most of my efforts have been towards that tank...
As far as the Titans go, I fear we've had too many injuries to make much of a go here in the playoffs... I'm just happy they made it this year...
I'm really interested in this topic. How can we tell where zoas are from? Is there any way to do research on this topic? (barring travelling to far off places)

I was always at my LFS when I started to learn where they were from. They would have a general idea what was coming in from each region and I was there when each and every shipment arrived. After a while it is pretty easy to tell...for the most part. Indo polyps are much different from Solomon, Fiji.Tonga.etc..Just ask and learn.
If they are in dirty murky water with in a location where they get sewage plentifully would this effect the par value?
In the ocean things can change pretty quickly. I would assume sewage slows in the evening and is washed out to sea... I do not think a few turds would dispel any light from the sun. good luck
