Some good hang on filters.

Better question would be why do you want to add one?

Live rock, heater, lights, and a couple PH's for movement is all thats "needed" for a salt tank.

I had one on a 6 gallon nano. It was in my noisy office, so I can't say if it is super silent, but it is pretty quiet. I have 2 on a 30 gallon planted fw tank in my kitchen now, and they do a good job, can't really ever hear them. If you use one for saltwater stay on top of keeping that filter media clean, or just take it all out and put a bag of chemi pure in there.

Excellent thanks! I'm planning on a foam pad, carbon, and gfo.
The 30: 10 to 30 US gallons looks the best. Has the best price too. Plus if it's flowing to much I can adjust the flow.

In my opinion, hangons are the best idea for saltwater. I used to use one on my hospital tank that is 20 gallons but I was constantly fighting ammonia and ph. I moved to a tunze 9001 skimmer.
