Some new puddle pictures

Top notch Tom. You are doing a great job on those tanks. Now that you kno how to use the camera are we going to see a lot more pics from you? I sure hope so

Hey G, Did you notice the duncans and war coral I picked up at your shop? That was a nice day. Need to get out there again.

Amazing tank, about how old are those large sps colonies?

3 to 6 years. Almost every sps coral in there came from a small frag. Many from frag swaps. I still have 6 more tanks to show with lot's more sps. I'll try to add some pics this week.

Seems you got some fast growth, very cool.

It grows well but i have no way to compare it to others;most of it has been trimmed a few times long the way.
I think steady alk, sg, ph and lighting play a role. Food too via fish feedings and bacterial growth feeding other fuana and of course low PO4 and NO3 and good skimingand gac to help manage organic levels.. No issues (stn, etc) for over 3 years cetainly helps .
I don't dose any trace elemets, amminos or minor elements like potassium ,iodine stontium but routine water changes add some of these as does the feeding.

Tom,
Wow! It never ceases to amaze when I see your tanks. They are beautiful thanks for the pics, hopefully the 300DD will look that nice when it finally gets done

I've always used Coral Life. It works well for me. Never had a bad batch. So I've never switched from when I started.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Glad you enjoyued the photos. I'll keep working on them .It's nice to get those comments.

Here are some more pictures. These are the 89 gallon sps tank and the softie tank . The later is not part of the puddle and runs on a canister filter working as a corbon box and gfo box and a very low production useless Red Sea Prism hob skimmer. Some pic caught reflections from the sunlight. I get better shots after dark.

I'm redoing the left side. The montis( seasons greetings sand dollar and setosa grew out and shaded the rock under them ,so I just opened it all up for extra swim space and sprinkled a few chalices and fungia in the lighted area. I' m thinking about a few sponges for the shade.
