I would go with 36 and 3/4 inch glass.
My current 150 G is 70x22x24 had to be taken down two floors down and 3 floors up carried on the stairs. As there was limited manouvring place on stair turns they had to rotate it each time by holding it side down so it was very high and wobling above the 4 people lifting it...
Are you sure about only 20 high? I know you're into shallow tanks but with that length wouldn't it be too shallow?

That doesn't make sense. How would it be too shallow if the tank is longer? The height of the tank is still 20".

This will be my third one from them. 
Wow, looks like you had a much harder time then I will.I have been in those apartments in Beirut and there is very little room to move around in. I may go 22" high.
I think that it is like an optical illusion. With the tank being longer the shallowness of the tank will be more pronounced. Kinda like wearing stripes with a certain direction can make one look skinny or fat. :lol:

My thoughts on size and glass thickness...
Any height between 20"-22" would be fine. Since the length will be 72", I would definitely go with 3/4". I carefully monitor mine and it's 66" x 22".
Either depth option is great (30" or 36"). I find it difficult reaching into the middle section at the back and mine is only 26" deep. That's standing on a stool and I am tall too.
I didn't get any bracing inside my tank at the base but would strongly recommend it with either the 30" or 36" options.
Oh, with 3/4" glass and any bracing... it is going to be very very heavy plus remember the width of your doorways and hallways!

It is basically a scaled up version of my last Rimless tank. There is nothing fancy about it. A 1" return, and a 1.5" drain, corner overflow, and Starphire Front. Thats it. Sounds boring, eh?
But, the inside will be full of some of the most beautiful corals and fish you have ever seen. Especially now with my new found access to pretty much every coral and fish in the world!

Nah, Im not worried. I had a 36" wide tank before. Im 6' 4" and have long arms so it shouldn't be a problem.

That my friend, is currently in the works. It is likely going to be a Hybrid of the the available technologies today. (MH,T5,LED)
It wont be anything too fancy or expensive, but it will get the job done. If you have followed my builds in the past you will know that I try and build them as simple and low tech as possible.

Well, I love 100% T5's. Nothing is set in stone so I may go 100% T5. I just dont know if I want to spend the extra cash on a large ATI Powermodale when I have all I would need to light the new tank here already.
We will see, it is still too soon to say what lighting I will be using.

I dont know, I dont want any complications and am afraid to try something different I guess. I was happy with the old setup and the corner overflow didn't bother me.
But you got me thinking and I just email Miracles to ask them about it.
So, Perhaps I will be going with an external.- Status
