I came upon these at the store I work at and traded for them thinking they were neat. Turns out theyre Sopranos:crazy1::dance:. I figured I'd share some pics. I Cant find any other similar morph (I've scoured Coralpedia)

I'm pretty sure they're sopranos. Please agree or politely disagree and tell me what you think they are. or just admire them:D

Yeah not sure they are sopranos, very nice but not sure. There have been a lot of gold ones coming in and given names like scarfaces, untouchables, touchables, and everything similiar.

The last sopranos I saw where from zoagirl and I believe hers had a green mouth, though i could be mistaken.

1. They are pretty and hope they do well for you.

2. I am not into names etc. but I don't think they are sopranos.

A. Color yours = orange to brown yellow vs. sopranos = bright golden/lemon yellow

B. Mouth = colored slit vs. colored ring

C. Skirt more solid coloration vs. tips colored

Again I am not into IDs because I don't care but I would say no to your guess. Maybe in a few months when they settle down they may color morph to their true colors.

Another question:

Have you compared the sizes of the two?

Regardless they should make you happy.

Thanks mike :) I just got em into my system and I'm pretty sure they'll color up. I'll update with more pics as they grow

Again I do not do zoa IDs and there are many other people's best guess I would take over mine.

It would be sweet if they were, they spread, and you were able to make them more available to others.

Look forward to seeing them in Feb.

Take care.

well thats convenient, zoagirls "moved on"

well anyways..heres a link for comparison to help you decide:

Ive look at a lot of scarfaces and havent ruled that out. That would still be a pricey sale. I would love to hear others input. I have 14 polyps on different frags of different amounts but am not advertising them for sale. please use this thread to discuss what you think they are. If I want to sell them I know where to post :)

Morph of campfires.... looks like..... I know liz had some back in the day but lost them but yea i see that she closed or the account is not active anymore.

But yea with the "name game" its hard to tell these days.. alot of polyps that have been around since christ was a child are getting renamed. Seems like there is more than one name for each polyp these days....

But nice pickup..

Im sorry but I dont see it from the campfire end..

and maybe if they color up more they could be scarfaces..

But i see a "blue" return outlet so im sure that photo is correct in all.....

no need to get upset champ i know your all warm and fuzzy inside about your new zoa... its ok.. This is the reason why this forum has gone down hill.

who cares what the name is? enjoy the zoa and learn how to take care of it. Dont get caught up in names and "IF I WANT TO SELL THEM I KNOW WHERE TO POST"

If you were told they were "Sopranos" then why ask what they are? lol dont worry what we think. as long as you like em who cares

how much i have missed the zoa forum........... :smokin:

Thats the thing. I wasnt. I work at a small pet store and head the salt department. When I got an order I saw these on a rock of dusky diamonds and knew that they werent and when i went to the web for comparison all I could see that was comparable was the soprano morph.

btw my 5th pic down in the original post is all lights on, not just actinics ;) I understand the sillyness of naming but when It comes to knowing what I have I want to know, not guess :) plus I wont be selling them for a while and when I do i know where to go to get my best profit :P

Yahooooooo!!! Friday crappin' all over someones thread again....Happy Holidays!!!!

One of my biggest principles I live by is that "sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all" and another "Measure twice, cut once". the same can be said with thinking twice before saying something. I appreciate your passion jacwil but please take this with a grain of salt when I say that youre response did nothing good to the content of this thread and not doing so may have been a better way of contributing than "fueling" the fire.

Sorry if im getting anyone upset. I just feel a legitimate responsibility to keep a thread that I started under control :P

That said I took more pics and have gone elsewhere(other sites) for more opinions on this gorgeous polyp

It's a beauty, that's for sure! I don't get into the names of zoas... Mainly because there's just so many, and I don't need the names. I never plan on fragging my corals ( I upgrade to make room :D ), so...
It'll be amazing once it's colony size!

Haha thanks Steph. Unfortunately I will be moving away to college next fall and as much as i would LOVE to keep my tank in my dorm It would be a very difficult move across the nation AND I'm not quite sure the school would allow it :P
Soooo for me I'll have to sell em

They are nice polyps but a serious zoa buyer will want to know your lineage. You got them off a random rock and are trying to call them something they aren't in order to make more money off a sale.
