sorry to report the little blenny was d.o.a.

The packet had overheated badly.
One tailspot blenny. I found no invoice or other paperwork with the package. My corals seem to have come through ok, in a styrofoam box, but the simple bubblepack around the blenny was not enough.

Found the number, called, matter resolved amicably with replacement. Agent promised to look into insulation of shipment.

Sk8r,

Thank you for your post. We apologize for the loss of the Blenny on your order. It is good to hear that the situation was resolved, and that you are happy with the outcome. If we can be of additional assistance, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Dear Mike S.
We agreed to send the replacement with the 2 trimma gobies I ordered, and I did explain that the fatality was caused by: 1) shipment to the western heatwave zone in a thin air-insulated cardboard box with only one ice packet and a scheduled 3pm delivery.

Your phone people said they would speak to delivery, and offered to send the trimmas and a replacement tailspot for Thursday delivery.

I said, please not Thursday: I'm going to be gone. Send for Friday. OK

Well, the replacement arrived today, on Thursday, as I asked NOT to do, and the fish arrived, comatose and in exactly the same packing, no trimmas, thank goodness. I was gone. My roommate, who was at hand, again thank goodness, dripped cooler tank water, moved the little guy about to get him aerated, and revived him: we got him acclimated and into our tank where he is so far ok, but for the sake of the poor fish, please take account of your shipping---my corals arrived in styrofoam with ample cool packs and came through fine, but one dead fish and one comatose is just not up to your usual fine standard. I hope you will look into this before we lose the trimmas when they finally ship.

Sk8r,

We sincerely apologize that your order was shipped for delivery on Thursday and not Friday as you had requested. At this time we have credited your customer file for the cost of the entire order for your inconvenience and will be able to have the back ordered Trimma Gobies shipped to you at no additional cost to you. We expect to receive the Trimma Gobies into stock mid next week.

When fish become stressed, as when shipping, one of their natural defenses against stress is to become inactive. This slowing of their systems will cause them in some situations to look ‘comatose.’

Our shipping boxes may not look impressive on the outside but I assure you the technology and research behind them is concrete. The boxes that we use have advanced technology that performs much better then the typical Styrofoam box when shipping fish specifically. Styrofoam boxes can crack and break during the shipping process while our boxes remain sturdy. Provided in this link is the technical data that supports our claim that our shipping boxes are the best offered in the Industry:

Cargotech

Every morning we check what the weather conditions are for the next two days for all shipping areas. We determine then how many ice packs are needed for each shipment to each area.

Thank you very much for your response. The little tailspot is up and eating this morning, and we're very relieved: we love these little guys. Your free shipping offer is very generous, and we will watch for emails regarding date of shipping---we'd had some of our emails cross, I think, but we will for sure be at hand whatever day the trimmas come through...and next week should be cooler than this, so here's hoping they have an easier trip.

I appreciate your personal rapid and gracious resolution of the problem. I'll certainly continue to rely on your company.

Sk8r,

We are happy to hear you were pleased with the resolution and we appreciate you taking the time to make your post. We strive for complete customer satisfaction and are glad you plan on ordering from our company in the future. Please contact us at any time if you have other questions.
