Dear Mike S.
We agreed to send the replacement with the 2 trimma gobies I ordered, and I did explain that the fatality was caused by: 1) shipment to the western heatwave zone in a thin air-insulated cardboard box with only one ice packet and a scheduled 3pm delivery.
Your phone people said they would speak to delivery, and offered to send the trimmas and a replacement tailspot for Thursday delivery.
I said, please not Thursday: I'm going to be gone. Send for Friday. OK
Well, the replacement arrived today, on Thursday, as I asked NOT to do, and the fish arrived, comatose and in exactly the same packing, no trimmas, thank goodness. I was gone. My roommate, who was at hand, again thank goodness, dripped cooler tank water, moved the little guy about to get him aerated, and revived him: we got him acclimated and into our tank where he is so far ok, but for the sake of the poor fish, please take account of your shipping---my corals arrived in styrofoam with ample cool packs and came through fine, but one dead fish and one comatose is just not up to your usual fine standard. I hope you will look into this before we lose the trimmas when they finally ship.
