Sort of OT: "Deep Sea 3D" @ the IMAX

Hey all,

My wife and I just got back from the sneak preview of "Deep Sea 3D" at the IMAX in South County off S. Lindbergh (we were invited via the Dive Shop we got certified to SCUBA thru).

Anyway 2 thumbs up on this one!


If you have kids.... TAKE THEM!

The 3d affect was awsome, nothing like the old blue and red glasses at all....

Anyway this film get's my vote!

Ronnies is worth the drive just to see the building once, I drug my parents there and they were amazed.

Deap See 3D won't be on the schedule just yet, this was an invite only type thing "advanced viewing" or something like that.

I'm not sure if it's going to be at other IMAX locations or not, it was worth the drive from North County once though, if they play it at the science center you won't be able to get me out of there!!!

It was awesome, I saw it last night and am going again tonight with a different friend.

I wish it was longer than 45mins.

yea, 45 min's isn't really enough , BUT

If you caught it they said the film shoots thru the projector at 5ft. per sec.

So that's 13,500 feet of film!!!

If this is the same movie I saw it a couple of years back at the IMAX and Aquarium in New Orleans, it's defiantly worth seeing. I'm glad I took the time to go to the Aquarium, the people I was with thought I was nuts to go to a movie and Aquarium during Mardi Gra, sounds like they took a major hit with Katrina.

I saw this friday night, and it was really good. I'll be seeing it again with some other friends who missed it for sure. Oh and remember, Ronnies sells beer if you want the "specially enhanced" version of the movie:lol:
