Quick question guys: Lets say I a trying to dose 60 ml total dose of Part 1 DAILY. ON auto dosing I would set :

Rate per dosing 10 ml
Dosings per day 6

That will make it 60 ml total in a 24 hour period?

If I want to increase the dosings per day, will that affect my total volume?

Yes your dosing pump would dispense 60ml in 24hrs. Increasing the dosages per day will add 10ml to your total dosage amount.

Thanks Reefrocker. Out of curiosity, are you dosing two part?
If so how much you dose daily. I am trying to come up with a starting dose. I am currently using approx 48 ml per 24 hours ad I have a 60 gallon rimless. I do keep several LPS and SPS.

Dosage is entirley linked to each persons tank and corals kept. a 500 gallons tank with a couple of colonies will likely draw less alk than a 50 gallon tank which is wall to wall sps.

To start

take you ALK reading
Over 24 hours adjust your ALK up until you reach your set point which should be around 7DKH
Set your dosing to 20ml in 24 hours and retest the next day
If ALK has dropped then adjust up
If it has gone up then adjust down.

It takes about 7 days to fine tune the dosing.

Do not do a water change in between especially if you have a small volume of water. It takes my cube about 4 days to stabilize back after a water change.

For your size tank look at using redsea new balling salt mix, it is 3 part and has more in it than any other published balling salt mix on the market.

I'm having the same issue understanding this as well? Is the stand alone doser dosing like mentioned above^?

Is their a way to say dose 60 ML over the corse of the day say 24 times?

So lets make it even easier say I'm trying to dose 10ML in 24hrs is their a way to dose that 24 different times? or is 1ML the lowest 24x a day for a total of 24ML in 24Hrs?

if you set the doser to dose 1ML 24 times in one day you will get 24ML
