SPS frag w/algae

JELWYOMING
I recently bought a few frags that ended up having some hair algae on the rock and base of the frag. What is the best way to deal with this and with pieces where the algae is into the coral. I have a couple of acros and branching monti's like this.

i have had to keep pulling it off them by hand untill it stopped growing on them. the coral grew over the spots where it was growing so it never grew back there again. good luck to you

Thanks, that is what I am currently doing. Hopefully, my water quality is good enough that it doesn't return.
Is there any type of dip that will combat the algae with no harm to the coral?

if you can bring the phosphate levels down in your tank that will help combat your alge problem. there are several phosphate removers on the market. i prefer to use them in a reactor. ood luck to you

I don't have a real algae problem in my tank. It's more like, how can I get rid of some on the frags that I bought without harming the frag?
