I scrapped the project and just moved forward with MH as my small business started to pick up this year and they are the most proven lights in the market so no value in reinventing the wheel. The best looking light that I have experimented with, compatible with what is aesthetically pleasing for me, and promotes great health of the corals is Blue LED panels supplemented with Radium's. Below is a recent pic of the tank. This is after battling a case of bad salt contamination known since March but could have been going back a year or so. I found the best colors ever with these lights and with Nitrates increased to between 10-25.

Been following along since the beginning just lurking =).. Tank looks great as usual I'm on the fence of going back to the metal halide also from t5 just because I feel I got better growth back when I used phoenix 14k w/mh supplements..

I wanted to touch on the salt contamination.. Was it neo marine? I tried one batch of that stuff and have been dealing with the aftermath ever since.. Very minor Stn/color's off?

Nice stunning. Thats the combo I plan on rocking on my 300 im setting up. 20k radium/blue.uv on radions.
