Beautiful aquascape and amazing corals but IMO bad choice of fish for that length size of tank, made obvious by the ripped fins on the yellow tang on the left.
Another point on best SPS tank is that putting Chingchai's tank in the running isn't really fare to him. The other tanks mentioned are almost all fully grown in. Let's not forget that Ching's tank is probably less thank 3 months old. Once it's fully filled in with huge SPS colonies and with that great fish selection, it is going to be something quite spectacular. As for now, I too vote for David Saxby. The amount of life in that tank is beyond incredible.
Wow!. You missed this shot!.

I didn't miss that shot. I actually had it as a screensaver for awhile  That is only one of two pictures of reef tanks that I have ever used that were not of my own taking. It just feels wierd using someone elses tank as screen eye candy![]()
Although it's not finished, I would like to add Sonny's rimless tank to the list.

+1 here for David Saxby. His tank has always been my favorite... though there are so many I love out there that choosing a Tank of the Decade wouldn't work for me.
Steve's was aesthically incredibly hard to beat, and very influential in how we all think about our landscaping. However, the tank i admire most is Saxby's due to the immense amount of life packed into the glass box. I could watch it for hours, if i wasn't so busy trying to get my own tank in shape. Despite the massive amount of fish he has he still has a clean tank and some very nice corals. So much movement. All that and he's sustained this huge bioload for a long period, which is very difficult.
Sorry, There is no way my tank should even be mentioned with Steve, Ching's, David's Syzmon or Ralfs. Like Sonny's tank, they are nice, but no where near the volume and diversity that those pinnacles of the hobby contain. I think Sonny would also agree as Syzmon's tank was a large motivator for Sonny's new tank.

Sonny's isn't far off!. It looks a bit like the ZeoVit Display tank... impressive is impressive!. Not long before it's TOTM.

I totally agree, Sonny's tank is definitely impressive for being up for as long as it has. I am just posting per the topic about the decade![]()
