Don't mean to hijack this thread - but do you have to do this manually everynight or is it programmable for night mode. Thx!
Night mode is a silly concept for me, as are moonlights for the sake of the corals. If you've ever been diving at night you'll realize that the "flow" isn't really any different from during the day. Also, even with a big ole full moon, it's really dark...
This has been explained ad nauseum. The actual, underwater, currents do NOT change at night.wouldn't turning the flow down at night have a similar effect to the ocean? I know there was a statement above about how it doesn't differ, but... I beg to differ. Sure, SOME nights might be somewhat turbulent, but for the most part, the ocean is much more calm at night. Also, the PE is much longer at night, so wouldn't feeding be maximized by using nightmode to " calm" the flow?
