Squamosa "scooting" on bottom

My 8-inch Squamosa has scooted about 6 inches forward since I put it in my tank. I put it between 2 250 watt HQI BLV lights, and I'm wondering if it's moving in the effort to get more light or could it be moving for some other reason. Does anyone have experience with this? My maximas directly underneath the lights are fine.

he's moving because he's not happy with something. could be not enough light, to much direct flow or maybe something else. he will settle in when he finds somewhere he likes.

My baby Tridacna maxima wandered a lot, until found an acceptable place. The second baby maxima approved the same spot and never moved. Also, could be some fine changes in water quality...
