SSC acro growing thin

I've had a strawberry shortcake frag for a year and a half now, and it's only been encrusting and growing super thin branches. The original frag was a thick branch, about 1/2 inch in diameter, but the new branches are less than 1/4 inch in diameter. Other coral are growing normally

Does anyone know the reason for abnormally thin growth in acropora?

I do not know but mine is starting to show the same pattern. Lots of tiny new branches starting from the base. This is an SSC from Unique Corals, supposedly the original? Seems like there are a lot of SSC's, each one with slightly different growth and color.

is normal..when will form a good coloni branches could turn in natural style.

I had two different SSC frags (different structure and colouration) and each grew thin. Still have the larger frag left and it has started to grow the same way. As the frag grows larger it will take form...however flow has to be good enough...too low flow rates result in thin branched growth; however in this case the grow structure is normal.

I agree, flow plays a big role

The flow in my tank shouldn't be a problem. So you guys are saying it can start to table or branch soon?
